In Power BI, columns refer to the individual fields or attributes within your dataset. These columns contain the actual data that you import or connect to in Power BI Desktop.
Table Pane: The side expandable pane consists of all the tables in the data model.
The below attributes of columns are captured by Powerops:
Column Name: Name of the column in the selected table.
Display Folder: Container to show columns in a folder structure for easy organization.
Is Hidden?: (Yes/No) It clarifies whether a column is hidden or not.
Is Row Label?: The Row label field value is used so users can easily identify the row.
Is Key Column?: The Key column field value provides the unique ID for the row.
Data Type: Specifies what kind of information the column can hold, like text, numbers, dates, etc.
Sort By Column: Arranging rows of the column based on a specific condition and order.
Is Implicit Measure?: (True/False) Detects if automatically generated functions like SUM, COUNT, MIN, MAX are used
Summarize By: Displays the type of aggregation used (if any)
Is Nullable?: (Yes/No) It specifies if the column can be left empty, without a value.
Is Used?: (True/False) It specifies whether the specific column is used in the report or not
Format: Defines how data in a column is displayed.
Percentage Format: (Yes/No) Whether the column displays its values as percentages.
Thousand Separator: (Yes/No) Refers to the formatting option that adds commas or other symbols to separate thousands in numerical values
Decimal Places: Specifies the number of digits to show after the decimal point in numerical data.
Data Category: Type of information a column holds.
Description: It provides an explanation of the column's content.
