M Queries

In Power BI, M queries, also known as Power Query M formula language, are used to transform and manipulate data during the data loading and transformation process.

Purpose of the M Queries Section in Powerops

  1. Effortless Viewing:

    Allows users to seamlessly review all Power Queries in a user-friendly interface.

  2. Easy Formatted Copying:

    Facilitates the effortless copying of formatted Power Queries with just a single click.

  3. Convenient Copy Options:

    Provides convenient options for copying Power Queries.

  4. Download Choices:

    Offers the option to download all queries at once or selectively download a single query.

  5. Quick Keyword Search:

    Enables users to swiftly search for specific keywords within the queries.

  6. Categorized Enabled and Disabled Queries:

    Categorizes enabled and disabled queries separately for clarity and easy comprehension.

The M Queries section thus streamlines the management and interaction with Power Queries, providing users with a user-friendly experience and efficient tools for copying, downloading, and searching.

User Interface

  1. Search Bar - Utilize the search bar to locate specific fields or tables.

  2. Enabled and Disabled Buttons- Separately view the active and inactive Power Queries.

  3. Match Case and Match Whole Word Buttons - Click the "Match Case" button to search for the exact word in the same case. Opt for the "Match Whole Word" button to search for the entire word regardless of the case.

  4. Download all button - Effortlessly download all Power Queries with a single click by saving them as a TXT file.

  5. Table Name - Name of all the tables

  6. M-Query Expression - Expression used to transform or manipulate data

  7. Format and Copy to clipboard button - Easy copying of formatted Power Queries with just a single click.

  8. Copy to clipboard button - Copy the Power Query in its raw, unformatted state.

  9. Download button - Selectively download a single query
