Data Security Review
What Data is collected by Powerops?
Powerops neither stores or transmits any actual data or Meta Data from Users. It acts as intermediate Layer enhancing the accessibility, comparison and management of reports and models. Its role is to provide a more developer-friendly interface and automation capabilities, without compromising data security.
The only Data that is collected for Licensing Purpose are User Name, Email, Github/Azure B2C account for version Controlling.
The actual Data including all the meta data is stored within the User owned internal Repositories of Github/Azure Devops.
Is there a Security Risk with Powerops?
No Data Storage by Powerops:
Powerops does not store any data. It operates exclusively with a "PBIP" file, which contains only metadata, not actual data. This means that sensitive or confidential data is not handled or stored by Powerops, mitigating risks associated with data breaches or unauthorized access.
Firm’s Internal Storage of PBIP Files:
The PBIP file, containing only metadata, is stored within the Enterprise’s internal Azure DevOps repositories. This ensures that all data, even metadata, remains under the Client’s control and protection, utilizing the security measures already in place within Azure DevOps.
Role of Powerops:
Powerops serves as an intermediary layer, enhancing the accessibility, comparison and management of reports and models. It streamlines the deployment process and enforces best practices but does not directly interact with the actual data. Its role is to provide a more developer-friendly interface and automation capabilities, without compromising data security.
Absence of Security Risks:
Since Powerops neither stores nor transmits any actual data or metadata outside of the firm’s internal systems, it does not introduce additional security risks to the enterprise. Its operation is confined to enhancing and automating processes without interacting with the core data, thereby maintaining the existing security posture of the enterprise.
