# How to Create an Account on GitHub?

Steps for setting up a GitHub account:

1\. Visit <https://github.com/join> and complete the registration form.

2\. Check your email for a verification code sent by GitHub, and then return to the registration page to enter the code.

3\. After successfully verifying the code, you will be logged into your GitHub account.

&#x20;You can now proceed to register for Powerops by clicking on the following link: <https://portal.powerops.app/user-registration> and connect your newly created GitHub account.&#x20;

If you opt not to set up an organization, Powerops will utilize your GitHub username as your organization name.
